Nuffnang/Nokia N96 Race... N96 Training!
Wednesday, December 03, 2008

My dear readers who have been following my blog would have noticed that it hasn't been updated since a week back. The hectic pace of life recently became even more hectic, and it has been rather difficult to just sit in a quiet corner and catalogue the events of the past week.

Of special note, though, was the
Nuffnang/Nokia N96 Race. About a week back, Nuffnang, together with handphone giant Nokia, banded together to offer an exciting competition to Nuffnang members. It was an event similar to The Amazing Race, only this time, it would be done with the aid of the N96 phone. 2 Nuffnang members would be chosen to take part in the race, and these two lucky participants would each be given a N96 to mess around with during the event. To be selected, Nuffnang members were required to go through 2 stages; send an email, followed by a blog entry entitled "The Wackiest I Would I Do to Race for N96...".

You might have noted the said title in my
entry below. After a round of head-cracking over what to write, I finally spotted some raw chicken, and decided to run with that.

     And the result?

Yahoo!

The good people at Nuffnang selected
Curryegg and myself to be the recipients of the rather new phone, and we were asked to attend a product training session on how to use the phone at the Nokia office in Plaza Sentral, 3 days prior to the main race. Already slobbering over the thought of laying my hands on the technological wonder, I made my way to the place, and joined several other people who would also be dashing madly about KL this Saturday.

David Lian explained the whole process to us...

It can be connected to a tv/projector!

The phone from a different angle.

So, it'll be another few days of familiarizing ourselves with the device before we use it for real on Saturday. Whats the prize for winning that, you might ask?

Why, its another N96, with a trip for 2 to Phuket thrown in for good measure.

Nuffnangers, Curryegg and I!

Wish us all the best! And again, a thousand thanks to the wonderful people at
Nuffnang for making all of this possible!

I will never look at raw chicken the same way ever again.
